Nursing Bra Sale!

Friday, January 18th, 2013

We hope that you had a wonderful holiday season and a happy New Year.

If you’re like us, in January we plan for a fresh start.  We think about what we did last year–we keep the things we were happy with, and work on things we didn’t like. Sometimes we also tackle activities that we’ve been ignoring for a while…like going to the gym, or cleaning out drawers and closets and discarding the things that don’t fit or aren’t flattering.

After you’ve cleared everything out, we would love to help you set up a good foundation for your 2013 wardrobe.

We are having a sale on our nursing bras.

We carry some of your favorite brands in many different styles.  Need a tank top?  We have them.  How about a tee shirt bra?  We have those too.  We also have straplesssleep & leisure styles and  workout bras.

So don’t delay ~ shop our nursing bras today and knock one of those New Years projects off your list.

Some of the clothes in the video are available now, and other items will be arriving within a few weeks.  If you have any questions about a style, please contact us at customercare@milknursingwear.com.

Comparison Shopping: Spring 2012

Wednesday, April 4th, 2012

Once again, Milk has launched a variety of spring styles with trends that cross the boundaries of nursingwear. We’re showing nursing tops and nursing dresses with shirring, crossovers, ruffles, cowls and knots – all details found throughout the collections of other non-maternity and nursingwear retailers.

Here are the results of our comparison shopping analysis and some of the trends you’ll want to capture in your own wardrobe.

*Side Shirring ~ This simple detail adorns the sides of many spring basics offering a classic and flattering look. From Milk’s Side-shirred nursing top to others found at Target, Old Navy and Garnet Hill, this top is an essential.

*Tiered Ruffles ~ Tiered ruffles have reappeared this season as a feminine and soft look that can be dressed up or down. Milk’s Tiered ruffle nursing dress is a hot style that we’ll be restocking in mid-April! Email us to be added to the waiting list…

*Knot-front Tops ~ Knot-front tops have made a grand entrance into collections across the retail markets. We’ve seen it at countless major retailers in a range of hot hues. Milk’s Contemporary knot top is an easy fit for nursing moms with front access offered in two jewel tones (red and blue).

*Cowl-neck Tops ~ They are hot! Found in sleeveless, short-sleeve and long-sleeve varieties, cowl-necks are making big waves this spring. So much so that Milk is offering two versions: Cowl-neck nursing top with ¾ sleeves and a short-sleeve version.

Find these trends and more at Milk Nursingwear, where you don’t have to compromise your sense of style to nurse your little one.

Wardrobing for the seasonal transition

Monday, January 30th, 2012

The Gathered-loop nursing top is making its entrance this week in three easy-to-wear colors, but don’t let those short-sleeves alarm you. Here, we’ve shown you a couple ways to make this top work for the remainder of winter and well into spring.

This nursing top is totally versatile – taking you from yoga in the morning to errands throughout the day and dinner with hubby in the evening. With a lightweight or chunky cardigan, the Gathered-loop nursing top looks chic when layered.

If you’re an avid reader of our blog, you know how much we love elastic waistbands. Pair this top with your favorite pants or a cute “lunch-out-with-the-gals” skirt featuring those comfy, foldover elastic bands. And, whether you choose heels, rainboots or these fabulous striped clogs, pick a pair of shoes that will offer you ease throughout your day.

The Gathered-loop nursing top is now available at Milk Nursingwear. Shop today for this long-lasting style that you can wear throughout your nursing days!

Dressing up for the season

Monday, December 5th, 2011

We understand that it can be hard to get dressed in the morning, let alone dressed up for a holiday party or other celebration. Instead of dreading “that night” when you have to nurse in public, seize the opportunity to feel refreshed and dazzling in one of Milk’s nursing dresses.

Here, we have shown you how to impress in a few of our best sellers.

The black Keyhole dress is beautiful and basic, so you can pair whatever accent color and accessories you prefer to spice up the overall look. We love this red fascinator and oversized ruby ring. The red flats pull it all together, but the black suede heels are luxuriously feminine and sexy (if you’re ready to attempt the three inches again!). Whichever you choose, this style is perfect for those dressier holiday parties.

Our Everyday dress (shown here in purple) is just that – - perfect for every day. We love that it can take a working mom from the office to a dinner party with just a few accessory changes. Here, we’ve paired a beautiful Missoni print scarf (which can be worn around the neck or draped as a shawl) with glittery purple flats (oh-so-comfy!) and a great-looking bracelet (super chic).

Turquoise is an awakening color in the greys of winter. We have paired our Tiered ruffle nursing dress in that hue with a grey boyfriend cardigan (wear it open!), aquamarine chandelier earrings and grey booties (heels or fringed flats: you choose!). We love the feminine but somewhat casual look of this outfit. It would definitely work at a house party or out for a special dinner.

Don’t delay ~ shop today to take advantage of our holiday dress sale, where all nursing dresses are marked down by up to 45%. And send us your photos so we can see how you have wardrobed your own Milk Nursingwear dresses!

*The keyhole top is making a grand re-appearance in a really stylish new crossover look. Throw a scarf and yoga pants on for a casual day out, or dress it up with a maxi skirt and waist-cinching belt. $44, Black, Dark heather gray, Wine.

*Cowl necks are classic, so you can’t go wrong with this three-quarter-sleeve nursing top in Black, deep purple or Latte. $44
