So, who is behind Milk?  A mother of four who spent seven consecutive years either breastfeeding, pregnant, or both at the same time! I breastfed and pumped as a working mom, a stay-at-home mom, in the emergency room before surgery, on airplanes, at ball games, weddings, family gatherings and too many other places to list. 

I earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia University.  I worked as a Buyer at Bloomingdale’s and Lord & Taylor, and a Marketing Manager at American Express, but I always had a strong entreprenuerial spirit.  When I was breastfeeding my children and could not find fashionable clothing that was nursing-friendly, I set out to create my own line of fashionable nursingwear – knowing that there must be other women looking for the same thing.

In June, 2000, I brought in a business partner and launched a company to design and sell fashion-forward clothing for nursing moms. After seven successful years of running that business and bringing stylish nursingwear to women the world over, I am doing it again now with Milk – better then ever before.

I am excited to be able to combine my passion for serving nursing moms and making their nursing experience more fashionable, with my experience in the nursingwear industry.  Milk benefits from all that I learned from working with and serving thousands of nursing moms over seven years.  I would love to hear from you too and welcome your comments, feedback, and your nursing stories. Please feel free to post comments on this blog and share your thoughts.
